NBA Predictions: Can Grizzlies avoid blowout at Raptors? 2/4/18

Grizzlies vs. Raptors Pick

Are the Memphis Grizzlies going to stay within the large point spread today when they play at the Toronto Raptors? Game time is at 12PM ET.

Who Oddsmakers Like: Toronto. According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Raptors are listed as an 11-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 208 points. Toronto opened as a 12-point fave, while the over-under has gone up from 207.5.

Bet Today’s NBA Action

Who the Public Likes: Memphis. As of Sunday morning, 60 percent of public bets have come in on the visiting Grizzlies.

Injury Report: Memphis guard Mario Chalmers missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, but is expected to return to the lineup today. Deyonta Davis is expected to be available despite a knee injury. Tyreke Evans has an arm injury and is being held out as precaution while the Grizzlies attempt to work out a trade. Mike Conley Jr. is out for the season with a small bone potrusion in his heel. Cnandler Parsons is out indefinitely with knee soreness. For the Raptors, CJ Miles has missed the last three games with knee soreness and is questionable for today’s contest.

Who the Trends Like: Memphis is 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings. The under is 14-3 in the last 17 meetings in Toronto and 28-8 in the last 36 meetings overall.

Who We Like: Toronto often seems to rise to the level of its opponent and can occasionally be prone to allowing lesser teams to stay in games. The Raptors have also struggled recently against slower tempo teams and Memphis is as slow-paced as anyone. With the Grizzlies still playing hard in a lost season, I’m going to say this spread is a bit too large and the visitors find a way to cover with their leader in Marc Gasol having another big game.
