Pacers vs. Timberwolves Pick
Are the Indiana Pacers a good bet today to win as a small underdog at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves? Tip-off is at 5PM ET.
Who Oddsmakers Like: Minnesota. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Timberwolves are a 2-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 209 points. Minnesota opened as a 3.5-point fave, while the total has dropped from 212 points.
Who the Public Likes: Minnesota. As of Sunday morning, 66 percent of the public bets have been placed on the T-Wolves.
Injury Report: Jimmy Butler is expected to suit up today for Minnesota despite an ankle injury. Tyus Jones injured his finger last game, but is also expected to play today. Andrew Wiggins suffered a sprained ankle last game and is questionable. Jeff Teague will miss the next two-to-four weeks with a sprained ankle. For the Pacers, Victor Oladipo is doubtful with a sore knee. Glenn Robinson III is recovering from ankle surgery and is out for a couple more weeks.
Who the Trends Like: The over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Indiana and 15-5-1 in the last 21 meetings overall. Indiana is 0-4 ATS in its last four games overall.
Who We Like: Oladipo being out would be a major absence for the Pacers, more important to the grand scheme of things than Wiggins is to Minnesota. The Timberwolves still have a couple stars active in Karl-Anthony Towns and Butler (as long as he plays), whose usage rates will only go up with Wiggins out. And Jones has filled in well this season whenever Teague has been hurt. I like Minnesota to get it done here.
