LINE MOVEMENT

The Raptors opened as 13-point home favorites for tonight’s game but the line dropped a full point down to 12 at the majority of online sportsbooks. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 221.5 but was bet up to 223.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of this writing, 65% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Raptors to cover the point spread. Meanwhile, 56% of the betting tickets wagered online are on the over.

KEY INJURY TO WATCH

Jeremy Lin is out for the year for the Nets but he’s the only player listed on their injury report ahead of tonight’s game. The Raptors, meanwhile, might not have CJ Miles off the bench. He’s questionable due to an illness.

BETTING STRATEGY

I can’t see the Raptors getting hyped up for this one, which is perfect because the Nets have been a great bet of late. They’re 4-0 against the number in their last four road games, are 6-0 against the spread in their last six road games when facing an opponent with a winning home record, and are 5-1 at the betting window in their last six games coming off a loss. On the other side, the Raptors are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games overall and even though I don’t expect them to fall tonight, they won’t cover this big number.
