NBA Predictions: Will 76ers stay hot at Grizzlies? 1/22/18

76ers vs. Grizzlies Pick

Are the Philadelphia 76ers going to claim a fourth straight victory tonight when they play at the Memphis Grizzlies? Game time is at 8PM ET.

Who Oddsmakers Like: Philadelphia. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the 76ers are a 3-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 207 points. Philadelphia opened as a 2.5-point fave, while the total has dropped from 208.

Bet Tonight’s NBA Action

Who the Public Likes: As of Monday morning, 78 percent of public bets have come in on the Sixers.

Injury Report: Sixers forward Richaun Holmes has missed the last three games with an illness and is questionable tonight. Jerryd Bayless missed the last game with a wrist injury and is questionable tonight. Furkan Korkmaz has a lisfranc injury and will be re-evaluated in mid-February. JJ Redick has a leg injury and will be evaluated in early February. Markelle Fultz is out indefinitely as he recovers from a shoulder injury. For the Grizzlies, Brandan Wright missed the last game with an illness but is probable for tonight. Andrew Harrison missed the last game with a shoulder injury but is probable tonight. Mario Chalmers missed the last game with soreness in his shoulder and is questionable tonight. Jarell Martin has a hand injury and it is unknown whether he will play tonight. Dillon Brooks has an illness and is questionable tonight. James Ennis III has missed the last two games with a calf injury and will be out again tonight. JaMychal Green injured his ankle last game and will not be available tonight. Chandler Parsons in out indefinitely with soreness in his knee. Mike Conley Jr. is out indefinitely with soreness in his Achilles tendon.

Who the Trends Like: Philadelphia is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Memphis. Memphis is 4-0 ATS in its last four games overall.

Who We Like: After doing NBA writeups all season, there hasn’t been a longer injury report than the one the Grizzlies currently have. It sounds like they’ll get a few players back tonight, but this still isn’t an ideal situation. Although Tyreke Evans has been outstanding at point guard in the absence of Conley Jr., Memphis’ season was derailed as soon as its leader went out of action. Philadelphia has been hot as of late, with its only loss in the loss eight games coming against the Celtics in London. The Sixers got their revenge at Boston last week. I don’t see Philly taking this game for granted as it is playing a team that has played well lately despite the numerous injuries, having won three in a row prior to a loss at New Orleans. Take the 76ers here.
