LINE MOVEMENT

Golden State opened as a 12.5-point favorite before it bumped up half a point, while the over-under has also gone up from 226.5. The line is at -13 at most books now, while the total can be found at 226.5 at some spots.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Friday afternoon, 75 percent of public bets are pouring in on the Warriors. Online wager info also shows that 61 percent of bets are coming in on the over.

INJURY TO WATCH

Warriors guard Patrick McCaw is out until mid-March with a fracture in his wrist. For the Hawks, guard Antonius Cleveland has missed the last three games with a left ankle injury and is questionable tonight. Forward DeAndre Bembry will miss his third straight game with an abdominal injury.

BETTING STRATEGY

Is it wrong for me to want to go against public opinion and side with the Hawks here? Atlanta has been competitive at home with a 14-18 straight up record, while the Hawks are 32-28-2 ATS on the season. Golden State has the same 24-7 straight up road record as it does at home, but overall the Warriors are only 28-33-1 ATS on the season as they have often failed to cover big spreads. This seems like a game they could easily coast to the finish line and not play particularly well, but still win by 10 or 12 points. This could be a blowout of epic proportions, but I’m taking my chances on how trends have played out this season and going with the Hawks at home.
