Bulls vs. Grizzlies Prediction

Will the horrendous Memphis Grizzlies snap their current losing streak tonight when they host the Chicago Bulls at 8:00 p.m. ET?

Game Snapshot

(709) Chicago Bulls at (710) Memphis Grizzlies

Thursday, March 15, 2018

TV: N/A, 8:00 p.m. ET

CURRENT ODDS

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook YouWager, the Grizzlies are a 2-point home favorite to beat the Bulls, while the over/under sits at 212.5 points. Chicago enters play having lost seven of 10 overall but not to be outdone, Memphis has lost 18 straight.

LINE MOVEMENT

After opening as a pick’em, the line for this game moved to 2 in favor of the Grizzlies. As for the total, it hit the board at 211.5 but was bet up to 212.5 at the majority of online sportsbooks.

PUBLIC BETTING

Not surprising, bettors are fading the Grizzlies. As of this writing, 55% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Bulls to cover the 2-point spread. Meanwhile, 70% of the betting tickets are on the under.

KEY INJURY TO WATCH

Mike Conley (heel) will miss the rest of the season for Memphis, which will also be without Andrew Harrison (wrist) and Mario Chalmers (hamstring), and perhaps even Tyreke Evans (ribs, questionable). On the other side, Lauri Markkanen (back) is out for the Bulls but Paul Zipser (foot) is questionable.

BETTING STRATEGY

Time to roll the dice on this crap Memphis team. They’ve lost 18 straight and yet the line has moved in their favor? Something doesn’t add up and somebody clearly believes tonight is the Grizzlies’ night. The Bulls have covered the spread only once in their last nine road games, are 2-11 against the number in their last 13 games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game, and are winless at the betting window in their last six road games when facing an opponent with a home winning percentage of less than .400. I look for Marc Gasol to have a good game for the Grizzlies, who are 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight home games when facing an opponent with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
