LINE MOVEMENT

Washington opened as a 12.5-point favorite before the line dropped by a point, while the over-under has remained at 209. The spread can be found between -11.5 and -12.5 if you shop around, while the total sits at 209 everywhere.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Friday afternoon, 54 percent of public bets have sided with the Wizards. Online wager info also says that 58 percent of bets are being placed on the over.

INJURY TO WATCH

Atlanta small forward DeAndre Bembry (abdominal) and center DeWayne Dedmon (ribs) are both probable to play tonight. Small forward Taurean Prince (back) is questionable. Point guard Malcolm Delaney (ankle), point guard Dennis Schroder (ankle) and shooting guard Kent Bazemore (knee) are all out for the season. Point guard Jaylen Morris (ankle) is out until mid-April. For the Wizards, John Wall (rest) is doubtful to play.

BETTING STRATEGY

The Hawks are doing the tanking thing very well with so many key players out with injuries, although they all appear to be legitimate ailments. Atlanta has lost seven of its last eight games, although six of the defeats are against teams currently in the playoff picture. It doesn’t get any easier tonight against a Wizards team that is motivated to hold onto the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference because it would ensure a first round matchup against the depleted Celtics. All but one of the last seven Hawks losses have been by double digits, so don’t be afraid to take the hosts even without Wall.
