NBA Predictions: Will Lillard, Trail Blazers secure win at Magic? 12/17/17 NBA Predictions: Will Lillard, Trail Blazers secure win at Magic? 12/17/17

Trail Blazers vs. Magic Pick

Are the Portland Trail Blazers going to win a second straight game in Florida tonight when they play at the Orlando Magic?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Trail Blazers are a 3.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 210 points.

Portland comes in with a 14-13 overall record and 11-13-3 ATS after a 102-95 victory at the Heat, which ended a five-game losing streak. Orlando is 11-18 overall and 11-17-1 ATS following a 106-95 home loss to the Clippers, its third straight defeat. The Trail Blazers won the first meeting at home by a score of 99-94 on Nov. 15. Portland is 2-1 straight up and 1-1-1 ATS in three meetings since the start of last season.

The Trail Blazers were led by CJ McCollum with 28 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win at Miami. Damian Lillard accounted for 18 points, six assists and three rebounds. Al-Farouq Aminu added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Portland outscored the hosts 32-16 in the fourth quarter.

Jonathon Simmons tallied 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds in the loss to the Clippers. Mario Hezonja recorded 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots. Nikola Vucevic added 14 points, 12 rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks. Orlando was outscored 61-55 in the second half.

Portland is 3-8-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings.

Bet on Trail Blazers vs. Magic

Aaron Gordon passed the concussion protocol and practiced Thursday, setting him up to make his return to action tonight after missing Orlando’s last three games. That will be a big boost to the Magic as he had played some of his best basketball of the season in recent weeks. Portland ended its losing streak at Miami, but is still across the entire country from its home base. Although the Blazers are 7-5 at home this season, this is not an ideal matchup. Take the hosts.
