Milwaukee opened as a 7.5-point favorite before the line went up, while the total has gone down slightly from 220.5. The Bucks are almost unanimously at -9 across the board, but I do see it at -8.5 through at least one book. The total is at 220 at most sportsbooks, but can also be bet at both 219.5 and 220.5.
PUBLIC BETTING
As of Thursday afternoon, 57 percent of public bets have sided with Milwaukee. Online wager info also shows that 59 percent of bets are coming in on the under.
INJURY TO WATCH
Nets shooting guard Allen Crabbe (illness) is probable to play. Small forward DeMarre Carroll (hip) is out. Point guard Isaiah Whitehead (wrist) is out indefinitely. Point guard Jeremy Lin (patellar tendon) is out for the season. For the Bucks, center Thon Maker (groin) is questionable. Point guard Matthew Dellavedova (ankle) is out indefinitely. Shooting guard Malcolm Brogdon (quadricep) is out until mid-April.
BETTING STRATEGY
The total has gone under in both meetings this season and yet this over-under is set way higher for whatever reason. Brooklyn has gone under in three of its last four contests. Milwaukee has hit the over in its last four games, but the caveat is that two of those contests went to overtime. The under definitely has a better chance to hit in the event of a Milwaukee blowout, so this might be an OK time to bet the under plus the Bucks on the spread line.
