NBA Predictions: Will Pacers keep it close at Spurs? 1/21/18

Pacers vs. Spurs Pick

Are the Indiana Pacers going to keep it competitive tonight when they take on the host San Antonio Spurs at 7PM ET?

Who Oddsmakers Like: San Antonio. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Spurs are a 6.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 198 points. San Antonio opened as a 5.5-point fave, while the total has shot down after opening at 206 points.

Bet Tonight’s NBA Action

Who the Public Likes: Indiana. As of Sunday afternoon, 53 percent of public bets have come in on the visiting Pacers.

Injury Report: Pacers point guard Edmond Sumner has recovered from knee surgery and is questionable for today’s game. Myles Turner is week-to-week with a sprained elbow. Glenn Robinson III is targeting an early February return from ankle surgery. For the Spurs, Manu Ginobili has missed the last two games with a thigh contusion and is questionable today. Rudy Gay is out indefinitely with a heel injury. Kawhi Leonard is out indefinitely with a thigh injury.

Who the Trends Like: Indiana is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings. San Antonio is 6-0 ATS following a straight up loss.

Who We Like: As the numbers show, San Antonio is fantastic bouncing back from a loss. Indiana struggled offensively in a 99-86 loss at the Lakers its last game, shooting only 2-of-25 from 3-point range. The Spurs are not the team you want to meet when looking to sort out your offense, so expect some frustrations for the Pacers once again. While Indiana has done well in the last four meetings, expect San Antonio to have a big night from LaMarcus Aldridge to help turn the tides in this series.

NBA DAILY PREDICTION: SAN ANTONIO SPURS -6.5
