LINE MOVEMENT

Washington opened as a -0.5 favorite before the spread bumped up another point, while the total has gone down slightly from 210. The Wizards are a -1.5 favorite at most sportsbooks, but the line can be found at -1. The total is set at 209.5 or 210 depending where you look.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Thursday afternoon, 57 percent of public bets are being placed on the visiting Wizards. Online wager info also states that 52 percent of bets are coming in on the over.

INJURY TO WATCH

Wizards point guard John Wall (knee) has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game. For the Pistons, power forward Jon Leuer (ankle) is out for the season.

BETTING STRATEGY

Although the Pistons are very nearly mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, they are going out with a fight as they have won four of their last five contests. The only blemish was a 100-98 overtime loss at the powerful Rockets. Washington is still fighting to hold onto the sixth seed in the playoffs, but the argument could be made that no team should want to face LeBron James in the first round so the incentive to win games might not be as strong right now. Regardless, I like the Pistons’ form right now and will be betting on them at +1.5 tonight.
