The Cavaliers established a 2-0 lead in the series thanks to a 125-103 victory on Wednesday in Game 2. Cleveland has won and covered the spread in both games thus far. The Cavs are 57-31 overall, 22-21 on the road and 40-45-3 against the spread. Toronto is 55-35 overall, 30-14 at home and 48-41-1 against the spread.
Cleveland put on an offensive showcase in Game 2, racking up 28 assists on 41 field goals. The Cavs were 41-of-75 from the field and 18-of-33 from 3-point land in the win. LeBron James put up 39 points with six rebounds while Kyrie Irving had 22 points and 11 assists. Kyle Lowry had 20 points and five assists to lead Toronto, but DeMar DeRozan had just five points on 2-of-11 shooting.
The series shifting to Toronto could change some things, but the Cavs have looked too good in the first two games. On Wednesday, Cleveland was moving the ball around nicely and getting high-percentage shots. If Toronto can’t improve on its defensive effort, the Raptors won’t contend in any of the games. I expect DeRozan to step up today, but I don’t think it will be enough as Cleveland seems to be clicking.
