NBA Predictions: Will the Warriors get past 67 wins? 8/14/17

Will the Warriors get 67 wins?

Will the Golden State Warriors manage to have the best record in the NBA once again in 2017-18 and push for 67 wins or more?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Warriors are currently listed with an over/under of 67 wins for the 2017-18 season. The over carries a line of -105, while the under is listed at -115. Golden State is still listed as a -220 favorite to win the NBA Finals as well.

The number 67 has been a pretty steady mark for the Warriors recently, as they won 67 games in the regular season last season and also did it in 2014-15. The 2015-16 season saw them set a new record for wins at 73, but it also led to them losing in the NBA Finals.

The Warriors seemed unstoppable in the playoffs last season with the addition of Kevin Durant. Golden State lost just one game in the playoffs following their 67-win season. In the offseason, the Warriors locked up Stephen Curry with a new 5-year, $201 million deal. They also worked a new deal with Durant while re-signing key players like Shaun Livingston, David West, Andre Iguodala, Zaza Pachulia and JaVale McGee. They also added Nick Young and Omri Casspi to the team.

Bet on the NBA Futures Odds

The Warriors are still the favorite to win the NBA Finals for good reason, as they have the most talented roster overall. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson mixed with Curry and Durant may be the best four players together in NBA history. However, last season the Warriors stressed the importance of being fresh in the playoffs. They often rested players and didn’t concern themselves with their win total. I think they will have that same approach this season. Only championships matter right now to the Warriors. Also, the Western conference has gotten even stronger with Paul George moving to the Thunder and Chris Paul moving to the Rockets. Most of the day-to-day Western Conference games will be a battle. Look for the Warriors to get a high win total, just not 67.
