Cavs’ over/under for wins set at 56.5
After posting 53 wins a year ago, will the Cleveland Cavaliers add to that total this season?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the over/under for number of victories the Cavs will earn this season has been set at 56.5. Despite many pundits believing LeBron and Cleveland can win it all this season, that’s not even the highest win total among NBA teams this season.
That “honor” belongs to the defending champion Warriors, whose win total has been set at over/under 59.5. The Clippers, Thunder and Spurs all have higher win totals as well, as each team has been given an over/under of 57 for number of victories in 2015-16. The Rockets also have a win total of over/under 56.5.
The Cavs begin their season on Tuesday night in Chicago where they’ll visit the Bulls at 8:00PM ET on TNT. Cleveland will be without star point guard Kyrie Irving, who suffered a fractured kneecap during last year’s NBA Finals. That said, most of the team’s core that led the Cavs to the Finals last year are back, including LeBron and power forwards Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson.
