Bulls vs. Warriors Pick
Are the Chicago Bulls and host Golden State Warriors going to stay under the total Friday night at 10:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are listed as a 19-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 217 points.
Chicago enters with a 3-13 overall record and 7-9 ATS after a 110-80 loss at the Jazz, its third defeat in a row and eight in nine games. Golden State is 13-5 overall and 7-11 ATS following a 108-91 loss at Oklahoma City. The two meetings last season were split 1-1 straight up and ATS. The under went 2-0.
The Bulls were led by Robin Lopez with 15 points and four rebounds in the loss at Utah. Bobby Portis contributed 14 points and eight boards off the bench. Kris Dunn had 12 points and nine rebounds. Justin Holiday also scored 12 points. Chicago was outscored 55-34 in the second half.
Steph Curry accounted for 24 points, six assists and five rebounds in the loss at OKC. Kevin Durant put in 21 points and grabbed five rebounds. Omri Casspi had 11 points and six rebounds off the bench. The Warriors trailed 65-48 at halftime and were outscored 29-23 in the third quarter.
Chicago is 2-6 ATS in its last eight meetings at Golden State. The under is 6-0 in the last six Golden State games versus a team with a losing straight up record.
A 19-point spread is huge to cover even against a poor team, but if anyone can do it it’s the Warriors at home. Our advice is to stay away from the spread line though. We like the under bet better. Chicago’s offense has struggled considerably most of the season and now it faces a Golden State team that is very difficult to pile up points against when it is locked in. After a loss at Oklahoma City, it would be very surprising if the Warriors weren’t in top form here. The Warriors might score a lot of points through three quarters, but the combination of slowing it up in the fourth with reserves in the game and the Bulls lack of scoring will keep this total under.
