Nikola Jokic accounted for 26 points (9-of-13 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), 10 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks in Saturday’s loss to the Raptors. Jokic fell three assists shy of a triple-double and shot the ball well, but this was a strange night for the reigning MVP. All 13 of his field-goal attempts came in the paint, and Jokic did not have a single shot in the fourth quarter. Why that happened who knows, but this was certainly a disappointing development for the Nuggets and those who have Jokic rostered. Don’t expect that to happen on Monday when the Nuggets visit the 76ers in a matchup of MVP candidates (Jokic and Joel Embiid).
Philadelphia 76ers DFS Notes
James Harden went 5-of-19 from the floor and 13-of-15 at the line for 26 points, six rebounds, six assists, three triples, three steals and three turnovers across 44 minutes in Sunday’s overtime win vs. the Magic. Harden got off to another rough start in this one, bricking his first three shots and going just 1-of-8 from the floor through the first half of play — and while he was able to get his points at the line tonight — he didn’t do managers any favors with his high-volume, low-make field goal shooting. He’s now combined to shoot just 8-of-36 from the floor over the past two games, so he likely tanked your squad’s field goal percentage this week, and given how many minutes he played tonight there’s a chance he could get hit with a rest day on Monday vs. the Nuggets. Nuggets vs. 76ers NBA Betting Prediction
The Nuggets are 5-16-2 against the spread in their last 23 games versus the 76ers and are 0-3-1 against the number in their last four games in Philadelphia. Denver is also winless ATS in its last four games overall, is 1-5-1 against the spread in its last seven games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600 and is 0-4 at the window in its last four games after scoring 100 points or more in its previous contest. The 76ers, meanwhile, are 12-4 against the spread in their last 16 games following a failed cover in their previous contest.
