Nuggets vs. Hornets 3/19/16 NBA Picks & Predictions

Nuggets vs. Hornets Prediction

With the Nuggets currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak in which their defense continues to fail them, will the over hit tonight when Denver visits Charlotte?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Hornets are 8.5-point home favorites over the Nuggets for tonight’s 6:00PM ET tip-off. The total, meanwhile, currently sits at 217 as neither the side nor the total has seen any movement.

Bet Tonight’s Nuggets vs. Hornets Matchup

Denver is 5-5 over its last 10 games but is 6-4 against the spread during that stretch, while Charlotte is a scorching-hot 9-1 over its last 10 contests and has covered the spread in seven of its last 10. The Nuggets are also 20-13 ATS on the road this season while the Hornets are 19-16 against the spread at home.

The Nuggets have lost three straight games and haven’t allowed fewer than 100 points in four straight contests. The over, unsurprisingly, is 4-0 in their last four games and is also 4-0 in their last four road games. The over is 9-2 in their last 11 games when playing on one day of rest as well.

As for the Hornets, the over has hit in seven of their last 10 games overall and is 4-1 in their last five games coming off a straight up win. That victory came against the Heat on the road and in that contest, Kemba Walker, Courtney Lee, Nicolas Batum and Marvin Williams all scored in the double-digits, plus Al Jefferson came off the bench to rack up 21 points. With how poorly Denver is playing defensively, Charlotte shouldn’t have any issues contributing to the over tonight.
