Jokic runs triple-doubles streak to five
Nikola Jokic had 33 points (15-of-21 FGs), 12 rebounds, 14 assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer against the Bulls on Monday. Jokic had a streak of five straight triple-doubles broken Saturday in the loss to Minnesota. While the Nuggets lost again Monday, the 29-year-old center had a triple-double with 33 points. There’s simply no one else in basketball doing it like Jokic is right now. He’s the number one overall fantasy player going forward until something drastic changes.
KAT impacted by injured thumb?
Karl-Anthony Towns played 33 minutes in Monday’s 143-106 win over Memphis, accounting for 24 points (9-of-17 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two 3-pointers. Three-point shooting has been an issue for Towns recently, and his injured right thumb had much to do with that. KAT entered Monday shooting 1-of-10 from three in his previous three games, but he got back on track against the Grizzlies. Towns shot 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and 9-of-17 from the field overall while recording his 37th double-double of the season. As Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets visit the Garden on Wednesday, things won’t get any easier for KAT.
Nuggets vs. Knicks NBA Prediction:
Take the over. The over has cashed in seven out the Nuggets’ last 10 games overall. If we shrink that number down to Denver’s last six games, the over is 5-1. On the other side, the over has cashed in six out of the Knicks’ last 10 games, which includes back-to-back contests.
Nuggets vs. Knicks Betting Prediction: OVER 239.5
