Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Denver shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is questionable for Sunday’s contest in Los Angeles with an ankle injury. His status is something to monitor Sunday in the lead-up to tipoff at 9:30 PM ET.
The star for the Denver Nuggets is two-time MVP center Nikola Jokic. The 27-year-old Serbian national is one of the best players in the NBA and likely the best center in most DFS formats. His strength is his ability to contribute in multiple categories. Nikola Jokic is nearly averaging a triple-double on the season (20.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 8.8 assists). If all that wasn’t enough, Jokic is also shooting 60.6% from the field and leading the Nuggets with 1.5 steals per game. He’s a must-start in all DFS lineups, regardless of opponent.
If you need three-point shooting, Denver’s Michael Porter Jr. is one of the league’s best. The 6’10” sharpshooter is averaging a career-high 4.0 three-point makes per game. He’s doing it efficiently too, shooting 54.1% from beyond the arc through 5 games this year. Jokic’s excellent vision should provide Porter with some open threes against a middling Lakers defense.
Los Angeles Lakers DFS Spin
The Lakers’ Anthony Davis is questionable for Sunday’s clash with the Nuggets. He is apparently nursing a back injury. His status is something to monitor in the leadup to Sunday’s game, but as has often been the case throughout his career, the Lakers will have to be ready to play without him.
L.A.’s LeBron James is the complete opposite when it comes to durability. James has played the second-most minutes all-time when counting both the playoffs and the regular season. And in his 20th season, LeBron James is still playing at an elite level. James is averaging 25.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game for the Lakers this year. James has been the paragon of consistent greatness throughout his career and has continued that trend this season. If you’re going to start someone on the Lakers for DFS, it should be LeBron James or no one at all.

Nuggets vs. Lakers NBA Prediction:
The Lakers have been nothing short of a dumpster fire this season. They are last in the NBA in offensive efficiency, 27th in average scoring margin, and last in effective field goal percentage as a team. With Anthony Davis looking like he’s going to miss this game and with how bad the Lakers have been this season, I have to take the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic’s squad. I’ll lay the points with Denver.
