Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Nuggets power forward Aaron Gordon is making his presence felt so far in this series. The former first-round pick out of Arizona is posting 14.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1 made three-pointer per game so far in these playoffs. He would be worth a look in DFS on Sunday.
Gordon’s front court mate Michael Porter Jr. could have some value in DFS on Sunday as well. Porter is averaging 14.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 2.6 made three-pointers per game in 8 playoff contests this year. Porter had 21 points on 50% shooting from the field in Game 3 and could be in for another big day Sunday.
Phoenix Suns DFS Spin
Suns point guard Chris Paul has been officially ruled out for Sunday’s tilt with the Nuggets. Paul is dealing with a left groin strain and will miss his second consecutive game in this series. Paul had been averaging 12.4 points and 7.4 assists per game for the Suns in these playoffs.
A pair of Phoenix reserves might be nice DFS sleepers on Sunday. Suns center Jock Landale is getting more minutes because he’s been outplaying Phoenix center Deandre Ayton. Landale closed Game 3 and may see the bulk of the minutes at center going forward.
Suns point guard Cameron Payne will likely see some additional run because of Chris Paul’s absence on Sunday. Payne played 30 minutes and took 9 shots in Game 3, and he could take on an even bigger role in Game 4.
Nuggets vs. Suns NBA Betting Trends
Denver is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 second-round playoff games.
Phoenix is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 Sunday games.
Phoenix is 24-20-1 ATS at home this season.
Phoenix is 20-15-1 ATS as a home favorite this season.
Nuggets vs. Suns NBA Prediction
It goes without saying, but this is a must-win game for Phoenix. The Suns took care of business in Game 3 on Friday night, beating the Nuggets 121-114 at home. Devin Booker was otherworldly in that game as he scored 47 points on 20 of 25 shooting from the field. He will likely need to score at least his playoff average (36.9 points per game) for the Suns to win and cover this game. I think he’ll be up to the task.
Phoenix is 33-23-1 ATS this season playing on 1 day of rest, and that mark is the third-best in the NBA. What’s more, the Suns have the fifth-best record against the spread as a favorite this season at 32-24-1. Phoenix also has future Hall of Fame forward Kevin Durant who’s putting up 30.7 points per game in this series. I think Durant and Booker score enough to propel the Suns to a series-evening victory on Sunday night.
