New Orleans Pelicans DFS Spin
Zion Williamson hit 11-of-22 shots and 3-of-4 free throws for 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals in 30 minutes of Wednesday’s easy 130-108 win over the Nets. He said he was going to play through his ankle injury and play he did. You know the drill. If Zion can stay healthy he’s going to be a blast in fantasy and he got off to a very efficient start tonight, committing just two turnovers and hitting his free throws.
Charlotte Hornets DFS Spin
LaMelo Ball (left ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Pelicans. Ball will miss a second consecutive game, and his absence impacts multiple players within the Hornets rotation. Terry Rozier slides over into the starting point guard role, with his move freeing up a spot in the starting lineup for Kelly Oubre. Both played well in Wednesday’s win over the Spurs and should already be rostered in all leagues. Another player who receives a boost is Dennis Smith Jr., who posted a full stat line (12/2/4/2/2 with two 3-pointers) in 21 minutes off the bench. He still isn’t worth streaming while LaMelo is out, but another quality performance should change that for point guard-desperate managers in deeper leagues.
