Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Nuggets are 9.5-point favorites to beat the 76ers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 225.5 points and as of this writing, 69% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the 76ers to cover the point spread.
Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin
Joel Embiid (rest) will not play Saturday vs. the Nuggets. Although the official reason for Embiid’s absence on Saturday is “rest,” the Sixers center has been dealing with back tightness, and that undoubtedly played a part in coach Brett Brown’s decision to sit Embiid. However, it hasn’t slowed him down, as he’s averaging 29.8 points and 13.4 rebounds over the Sixers last five games. With Embiid sidelined, Amir Johnson, Jonah Bolden and Mike Muscala will divvy up extended minutes.
Denver Nuggets Fantasy Spin
Mason Plumlee made a spot start as Nikola Jokic served a one-game suspension, scoring 16 points with seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and four turnovers in 25 minutes against the Suns during a 132-95 win on Friday. He made 4-of-4 from the line as a little sweetener for all the fantasy owners who streamed him. Jokic is going to be back for Saturday night against Joel Embiid, but Plumlee could have a role because of the matchup and back-to-back factor. We’d say congrats to those who used him in DFS, but this was the easiest spot of the slate.
NBA Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The 76ers are 4-12 against the spread in their last 16 road games when facing an opponent with a home winning percentage of greater than .600.
Denver
The Nuggets are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game.
Prediction
The 76ers have covered the spread in 11 of their last 12 trips to Denver and are 12-3-1 at the betting window in their last 16 games versus the Nuggets overall. Furthermore, the underdog is 9-3-1 against the number in the last 13 meetings between these two teams and in the last 26 series meetings, the road team is 19-6-1 at the betting window. Even without Embiid, the Sixers are still a strong play tonight in Denver.
