Phoenix out East
The Suns opened an East Coast road trip on Tuesday with a 131-97 loss at Indiana. That snapped a three-game cover streak for Phoenix. The Suns are 11-34 on the season, 4-17 on the road, 20-25 against the spread and 25-20 with the under.
Phoenix has struggled to get on track offensively all season, as the Suns average just 105.9 points per game while shooting only 33.9 percent from the arc. The defense is giving up 114.6 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 48.1 percent. Devin Booker has been leading the team with 24.3 points and 6.9 assists per game while Deandre Ayton is adding 16.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest.
Raptors end win streak
Toronto had its five-game win streak come to an end on Wednesday night in a 117-108 loss at Boston. The Raptors are just 1-3 against the spread in their last four games. Toronto is 33-13 on the season, 18-4 at home, 20-26 against the spread and 28-18 with the over.
The Raptors are putting up 113.8 points per game on offense while shooting 47.3 percent from the floor. Defensively, Toronto is allowing 108.7 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 45.4 percent from the field. The Raptors are listing Kawhi Leonard as questionable to play tonight due to rest, but reports have him sitting out. Leonard is putting up 27.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season. Serge Ibaka is adding 16.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Phoenix
The Suns are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games playing on 1 day of rest. However, they are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games.
Toronto
The Raptors are 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 games playing on no rest, but just 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss.
Prediction:
The Suns covered in the first meeting with the Raptors at home this season. Toronto also could be resting some players due to the back-to-back with travel. Leonard sitting out takes a lot away from Toronto. He is their top player on both sides of the court. The players that will be out there will have tired legs as well. Phoenix has enough young talent that can make this a game. Booker is a player that can take over a game and I think the Suns will manage to keep this within reason.
NBA Prediction: Phoenix Suns +13
