Detroit Pistons DFS Spin
RJ Hampton lit up Brooklyn on Wednesday with 27 points (9-for-15 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, one block and five 3-pointers in a 123-108 loss. Hampton went off in the second half of this game, scoring 22 of his career-high 27 after the break. Hampton hasn’t been much of a fantasy asset this season, even with the tanking Pistons, but he should get a chance to build off of this one over their final two games. After dropping 30 points in their last game, Jaden Ivey followed it up with a 23/5/10 line, as he recorded the fifth point-assist double-double of his career. Jalen Duren also got another start and finished with 18 points and eight rebounds on 9-for-11 shooting. There will be plenty of minutes to go around for the rest of their season, but they’ll be hoping to avoid this situation next year.
Indiana Pacers DFS Spin
Jalen Smith accounted for 19 points (8-of-11 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), three rebounds, two steals, three blocks, and two 3-pointers in Wednesday’s 138-129 loss to the Knicks in 26 minutes. Smith didn’t offer much production on the glass, but he did lead the Pacers in scoring while also racking up two steals and three blocked shots. While he’s largely been a fantasy disappointment after starting the season as the Pacers’ starting power forward, Smith has been an 11th-round player in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks. Isaiah Jackson came off the bench on Wednesday, finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds, and one blocked shot in 22 minutes. Rick Carlisle has alternated between the two with his recent starting lineups, and both will be solid fantasy options for the Pacers’ final two games of the season.
