Spread climbs in Cavs-Warriors rematch
The marquee matchup in the NBA on Christmas Day will feature a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals when the Warriors host the Cavaliers at 5:00PM ET.
Golden State opened as a 6.5-point home favorite over Cleveland for this evening’s matchup, while the over/under opened at 210 points. But according to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu, the Warriors are now a 7-point favorite and the total is up to 210.5 points.
Our NBA Public Betting Page shows that 55% of bettors are currently taking the points with LeBron and the Cavs, who are 2-1 against the spread in the three games they’ve been a road underdog this season. They’ve won those three games by an average margin of 4.3 points.
Of course, there haven’t been many home favorites as good as Golden State this season. The Warriors are 8-5 against the spread as a home fave in 2015, winning by an average margin of 17.6 points and covering the spread by an average margin of 4.6. In fact, the Warriors are 18-9-1 (66.7%) at the betting window this season, which is a record bested by only the Magic (20-8-1) and Spurs (21-9).
