Raptors your leaders in the East

LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The Toronto Raptors have quietly built their record into the best in the Eastern Conference. Is Toronto a real contender in the East?

View NBA Finals Odds

The Raptors came into Sunday at 17-6 on the season, which has them ½ a game ahead of the field in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors were set to take on the Knicks tonight at 7:30PM ET, looking to get to 18 wins. Only four teams in the Western Conference have 18 wins or more.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Raptors currently have 20/1 odds to win the NBA Finals in 2015. The team opened with 60/1 odds, but those have been moving up since the start of the season. Toronto also has 5/1 odds to win the Eastern Conference, trailing only Cleveland and Chicago in that listing.

Bet on NBA Futures Odds

The Raptors are 14-9 against the spread this season and they have won four of their last six games, with both of the losses in that stretch coming against the Cavaliers. The Raptors have reached the NBA playoffs six times in franchise history, only making it past the first round one time. They have never reached the NBA Finals. Their last playoff appearance was last season, when it went 48-34, but lost to the Nets in seven games in the opening round.
