Sengun is questionable for Sunday’s matchup

Alperen Sengun is questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Knicks due to a left calf contusion. Sengun has missed each of Houston’s last two games, and he’s in danger of sitting out a third. Steven Adams has started in Sengun’s place in each of the last two, averaging 11 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and a steal across 24 minutes.

Brunson has rough night vs. Lakers

Jalen Brunson amassed 17 points (7-of-18 FGs, 3-of-7 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 40 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers. Brunson had a rough Saturday night. In addition to the poor percentages, he missed both of his 3-point attempts and finished with nearly as many turnovers (six) as assists (seven). No matter the talent level, every player will occasionally have a bad game; Saturday was it for Brunson. Given how well he’s played throughout the season, there’s no need for concern. Brunson will look to bounce back when the Knicks begin a three-game Week 15 at home against the Rockets on Monday.

Rockets vs. Knicks NBA Prediction:

Take New York. The Knicks have won eight out of their last 10 games versus the Rockets overall, all while covering in seven out of their last 10 games. New York has also won seven out of its last 10 games overall, covering six times in those 10 contests. Houston, meanwhile, has dropped back-to-back games entering play tonight.
