Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Nuggets are 8-point favorites to beat the Kings. The total, meanwhile, sits at 230 points and as of this writing, 65% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Nuggets to cover the point spread.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Marvin Bagley scored a career-high 32 points on 10-of-15 FGs and 11-of-13 FTs vs. the Suns on Sunday, adding seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer. Bagley looked fantastic in his 32 minutes tonight and he was as aggressive as we’ve seen him, albeit vs. a soft defense. The Kings continue to start Nemanja Bjelica at PF, giving them another 3-point threat on the court, but Bjelica has averaged 20.3 minutes in the past seven games — Bagley has averaged 27.3 minutes in the same span. The No. 2 pick recently had a stretch of four straight double-doubles and if he was still on your waiver wire he won’t be after tonight’s performance.
Denver Nuggets Fantasy Spin
Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets past Miami with a line of 23 points (7-of-16 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), 12 rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes. Jokic has posted a double-double in three straight and six of his last seven games. It’s been business as usual for the All-Star forward/center, as he’s averaging 20.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game over his last five. A top-15 player in nine-category leagues over the last two weeks, Jokic has been a top-10 player over the course of the entire season.
NBA Betting Trends
Sacramento
The Kings covered the spread in five of their previous six games but are just 2-8 against the number in their last 10 road games.
Denver
The Nuggets are a profitable 21-8 at the betting window in their last 29 home games but are just 5-11 ATS in their last 16 conference tilts.
Prediction
The Kings have played well of late but have struggled on the road, so I’m staying away from the spread tonight. That said, the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings between these two teams in Denver and is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall. The over is also 20-7 in the Kings’ last 28 conference games and cashed in seven of the Nuggets’ previous eight home contests.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: Kings/Nuggets over 230
