The Rockets are one-time division winners and the defending champs. Houston was 56-26 last season. The Rockets drafted Sam Dekker to add some depth but lost Josh Smith in free agency.

The Grizzlies have never won the Southwest division title. Memphis was 55-27 last season. The Grizzlies return their strong roster from a year ago and will again be led by Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.
