San Antonio Spurs DFS SPIN

Devin Vassell was the lone “bright” spot in the Spurs 40-point loss to the Clippers on Sunday night. Vassell finished the game 6/10 from the field and recorded a team high 14 points. Through three games Vassell has been great for the Spurs averaging 20.7 ppg and shooting over 50% from field.

Phoenix Suns DFS SPIN

Kevin Durant led the way for the Suns offensively in their 22-point win against the Jazz on Saturday night. Durant recorded 26 points with an efficient 8/11 from the field. Newly acquired Eric Gordon also had a strong night in the win, logging 21 points on 9/14 from the field. Gordon will be extremely important to the Suns as Bradley Beal and Devin Booker remain out.

San Antonio is 3-2 ATS in their last 5 road games.

The Suns are 9-1 SU in their last 10 games versus San Antonio.

The total has gone under in 6 of the last 10 games in this matchup.

Spurs vs. Suns Prediction:

Each team is trending in opposite directions as the Spurs suffered a 40-point loss on Saturday, while the Suns cruised past the Jazz last time out.

It was about as bad of road opener for the young Spurs as possible, as the Clippers dominated from start to finish. While I expect a better showing for the Spurs off the blowout loss, I don’t think they are going to be able to hang within the number versus the Suns in this one. Although Phoenix will be without Booker and Beal again, they still have plenty of firepower on offense. Defensively for the Suns, I believe they are better with Josh Okogie inserted into the starting lineup in place of Beal or Booker. Expect a better performance from the Spurs, however Phoenix pulls away in the end.

NBA BETTING PREDICTION: Suns -7.5
