Phoenix Suns DFS Notes

Deandre Ayton (right ankle sprain) has officially been ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Mavericks. No surprises here given Ayton didn’t even make it through practice today, and it’ll be Javale McGee and Bismack Biyombo that play more with Ayton out. McGee will likely get the start again, but he was far outplayed by Biyombo on Monday evening and it’s really a toss up regarding which of the two bigs decides to show up tomorrow.

Dallas Mavericks DFS Notes

Luka Doncic hit 13-of-24 shots, 4-of-10 3-pointers and 11-of-12 free throws for a season-high 41 points to go along with 14 rebounds, seven assists, a steal and four turnovers in a 102-98 win over Toronto on Wednesday. Finally. Luka hit just 4-of-17 shots in Monday’s win and was 2-of-27 from downtown over his previous four games. The Mavs are rolling right now, winning four straight games, six straight at home and are 9-1 in January. Tonight’s game had 22 lead changes and the Mavs probably shouldn’t have won given the rest of the team struggling. But between Luka’s dagger 3-pointer and Fred VanVleet’s 4-of-20 shooting, the Mavericks are now one of the hottest teams in the league. Dallas is 26-19 on the season and will look to keep it going against the Suns on Thursday in Dallas.

The Mavs, meanwhile, are just 11-23 against the spread in their last 34 games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games versus a team with a w inning road record.
