Phoenix Suns DFS Spin
Point guard Cameron Payne and small forward Cameron Johnson will both miss the Suns’ game against the Nuggets on Sunday. Shooting guard Devin Booker had missed the past 3 games with groin soreness but he’s been cleared to play against the Nuggets. His presence will be massive as Booker is averaging 28 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game for the Suns this season. He’d be a nice option in DFS if you’re willing to tolerate some risk.
Another solid DFS option would be the Suns’ Deandre Ayton. Ayton is averaging 17.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while shooting a blistering 62.8% from the field this year. His production from the center position would be attractive to DFS owners this weekend.
Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Nuggets guard Jamal Murray was initially listed as day-to-day with a foot injury but he’s been upgraded to probable for Sunday’s clash with the Suns. I’m not sure I’d use him in DFS though, as you could probably find better value elsewhere at the guard spots.
Speaking of value, Denver’s Aaron Gordon is having one of the best seasons of his career, and DFS pricing may not have caught on yet. Gordon is averaging 17.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1 made three-pointer per game this season. He’s been tremendously efficient too, shooting 61.1% from the field and 38.7% from downtown. He’s been the main beneficiary of Nikola Jokic’s passing and Gordon should continue to get open looks on Sunday.
Suns vs. Nuggets NBA Betting Trends
Phoenix is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games.
Denver is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Denver is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 1 day of rest.
Denver is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Suns vs. Nuggets NBA Prediction
The news that Suns guard Devin Booker is going to play in this game is a huge factor in Phoenix’s favor. Booker is good enough to single-handedly win games for his team as he did in his last game against the Pelicans. In Phoenix’s 118-114 win over New Orleans, Devin Booker poured in 58 points on 21-35 shooting. I don’t think he’ll score that many against Denver, but I think you can pencil him in for 25 or more, and that should be enough to at least cover the number against the Nuggets on Sunday.
