Can Bucks hang with slumping Thunder?
The slumping Thunder will be in Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon to take on a Bucks team that looks revitalized after a short-term fix to their lineup has netted positive results.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Oklahoma City is a 7-point road favorite at Milwaukee while the over/under is sitting at 219 points for today’s 3:30PM ET tip-off. The Thunder is just 4-6 over its last 10 games and 4-5-1 against the spread during that span, while the Bucks are 6-4 over their last 10 and 6-4 ATS as well.
OKC dropped back-to-back games against the Clippers (103-98) and Warriors (121-106) and have also lost four of its last five. During that stretch, the Thunder is just 1-3-1 against the spread and has also covered in just three of its last 15 road games.
Bettors love the Thunder to cover the 7 points at the Bucks this afternoon
While the Thunder has struggled, the Bucks have found success following Giannis Antetokounmpo’s move to point forward. The results haven’t been perfect, but with Antetokounmpo now a primary ball-handler he’s averaging 17.8 points, 10.0 boards, 8.2 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.8 steals over his last five games. And in those five games, the Bucks are 3-2 against the spread with outright victories at Boston and over Houston as underdogs.
Oklahoma City is too talented not to shake out of its funk sooner rather than later, and that time might be today in Milwaukee. That said, with the Thunder struggling the Bucks playing well, taking the 7 points and the team with homecourt advantage is the best play for bettors.
