Oklahoma City Thunder DFS Spin
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished Sunday’s 120-109 win over the Mavericks with 33 points (11-of-17 FGs, 11-of-13 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two blocks in 36 minutes. Even though opposing teams know Gilgeous-Alexander would prefer not to take perimeter shots, it’s near impossible to keep him out of the paint. Three of his field-goal attempts on Sunday came from outside the paint, and two were baseline jumpers from 13 feet. SGA is providing top-10 per-game value in 9-cat formats, shooting a little over 50% from the field and better than 91% from the foul line. Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder will now hit the road for four straight, beginning Tuesday night in Miami.
Miami Heat DFS Spin
Jimmy Butler shot 9-of-22 from the field and 7-of-9 from the foul line in Sunday’s 102-101 loss to the Nets, scoring 26 points with nine rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one 3-pointers in 34 minutes. A top-10 player in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks, Butler has scored 20 points or more in three straight games. The good news for the Heat and fantasy managers with Butler rostered is that there are no back-to-backs on the horizon. Miami plays three games in Week 13, with the Bucks being the opposition for two. Butler being on the court for those matchups will be key, especially if Tyler Herro (right knee) is sidelined for an extended period. Herro suffered his injury on the game’s final play, which finished with Butler missing a layup attempt through contact.
