Thunder vs. Sixers Prediction
The Thunder are massive favorites tonight against the lowly Sixers tonight at 7:00PM ET and while they should win, will OKC cover such a huge number?
After opening as a 15.5-point favorite apparently sports books didn’t think the Thunder were favored by enough points. Thus, according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the line for tonight’s game was bet up to OKC -16.5, while the over/under has been bet down from 220 to 219.5.
Bet Tonight’s Thunder vs. Sixers Game
Philadelphia enters play with a 1-9 record over its last 10 games and is just 4-6 against the spread during that stretch. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, is 5-5 straight up and 6-3 against the number over its last 10. The Sixers are also 14-19-1 at the betting window at home while the Thunder are just 12-20 against the spread as a road team in 2015-16.
Even though the 76ers are 14-19-1 against the spread at home this season, they’re losing by “only” an average of 10.4 points per game inside the Wells Fargo Center. While that’s still a significant number, it’s still not close to the 16 points needed for the Sixers to lose at the betting window tonight. Plus, they’re 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games versus Western Conference opponents and have covered in four of their last five games versus Northwest opponents.

As for OKC, the Thunder have won by an average margin of 5.0 points in their 32 games on the road this season. They’re also just 4-19-1 against the number in their last 14 games coming off one day of rest and have failed to cover in 10 of their last 14 games following a win. While they should win easily, 16 points is a lot to lay on a road team in the NBA (even a road team playing against a horrendous Philly squad).
