T’Wolves hope to end losing skid
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (TheSpread) – The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost 12 straight and look to avoid No. 13 tonight when they host the Phoenix Suns at 9:30PM ET.
Minnesota is 5-28 on the season, 3-13 at home and 12-20-1 against the spread. Phoenix is 20-16 on the season, 11-9 on the road and 21-14-1 against the spread. The road team has won and covered in four of the last five meetings between these two, but the Timberwolves are 4-2 against the spread in their last six vs. Phoenix. This is the first meeting this season between these two teams.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Suns are favored on the road, as Phoenix is getting odds of -8 points against the Timberwolves. The over/under total for the game has been set at 214.5 points.
Despite the long losing streak, the T’Wolves have covered in four of their last six games, but they are just 1-3 ATS in their last four home games. Minnesota has covered in three straight when a dog of 7 points or more and they have hit the under in four of their last six. Phoenix has won two straight and eight of its last 10, going 9-1 against the spread in this 10-game stretch. The Suns have hit the over in six of their last seven games as well.
