Minnesota Timberwolves DFS Spin
Minnesota will be without power forward Jaden McDaniels and center Naz Reid on Sunday. McDaniels broke his hand and is out indefinitely, and Reid broke his wrist and will miss the rest of the season.
Timberwolves shooting guard Jaylen Nowell is questionable for Sunday’s tilt with the Nuggets due to a left knee injury. Nowell is averaging 10.8 points per game for Minnesota this season. Minnesota center Rudy Gobert is also questionable for the team’s game against Denver this weekend as he’s battling back spasms. Gobert is averaging 13.4 points and a team-high 11.6 rebounds per game for the Timberwolves this season.
Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Denver center Nikola Jokic’s reign as the league MVP will likely come to an end this season, but that’s no fault of his. He led the Nuggets to the best record in the Western Conference and tossed up a staggering stat line of 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game while shooting a scorching 63.2% from the field this season. You may have to pay a pretty penny to use him in DFS but he could be well worth it on Sunday.
Nuggets small forward Michael Porter Jr. is third on the team in scoring this season with 17.4 points per game. He’s also scored well against Minnesota this season. In four games against the T’Wolves, Michael Porter Jr. is averaging 18.5 points per game on 50.1% shooting from the floor. He should get some open shots against Minnesota on Sunday and that could make him a valuable DFS option this weekend.
Timberwolves vs. Nuggets NBA Betting Trends

Minnesota is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
Minnesota is 20-8 ATS in their last 28 Sunday games.
Denver is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following an outright win.
Timberwolves vs. Nuggets NBA Prediction
Denver had an odd end to the season. They sat several of their key players including Nikola Jokic in their last 7 games, causing them to go 2-5 straight up in that span. They seemed content to rest players instead of trying to get a rhythm and sharpen their skills before the playoffs. Dating back to March 8th, the Denver Nuggets are 7-10 straight up in their last 17 games. They might end up being fine, but it’s hard to say for sure.
The Minnesota Timberwolves on the other hand seem to have the Nuggets’ number. Minnesota is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against Denver. What’s more, Minnesota is 24-7 ATS in their last 31 games against the Nuggets in Denver. I think Minnesota showed some heart in the play-in tournament as they narrowly lost to the Lakers and then smoked the Thunder. I believe Minnesota will be able to keep the game competitive throughout, which is why I’m taking the Timberwolves and the points on the road in Denver on Sunday night.
