Minnesota Timberwolves DFS Spin
Karl-Anthony Towns accounted for 17 points (5-of-9 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 36 minutes in Sunday’s 114-108 overtime win over Denver. After struggling in the first two games of the series, Towns was better in the two games at home. He would foul out of Game 4 in overtime, but KAT shot better than 50% from the field and recorded his third double-double in four games. Rudy Gobert also recorded a double-double, finishing with 14 points, 15 rebounds, one assist, and two blocked shots in 39 minutes. Minnesota will look to extend the series to a sixth game with a win Tuesday night in Denver.
Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Nikola Jokic accumulated 43 points (15-of-26 FGs, 8-of-12 FTs), 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and five 3-pointers in 39 minutes during Sunday’s 114-108 overtime loss to Minnesota. Regardless of what happened Sunday night, the Nuggets were headed back to Denver. The bad news for them is that the Timberwolves are also going back, as Jokic and company failed to close out the series. The two-time MVP finished with a very good stat line as far as fantasy/DFS is concerned, but he also recorded a team-worst minus-14 rating. Denver did finish the regular season with the West’s best record, but being focused on the task at hand has been an issue at times. That was the case in Game 4, and they’ll have to play a fifth game in the series. And the time off would have been great for Jokic, who may still be dealing with a right wrist issue. He entered Game 4 shooting 58.3% from the foul line in the series, a far cry from his number for the regular season (82.2%). Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday night.
