Portland Trail Blazers DFS Spin
The Portland Trail Blazers will be running out their B-team against the L.A. Clippers on Saturday. Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant, Jusuf Nurkic, and Matisse Thybulle will all be on the bench for the Blazers as Portland looks to improve their draft position on Saturday. Portland small forward Cam Reddish is officially listed as questionable for Saturday’s tilt with a back injury, but there seems to be a good chance he sits out on Saturday.
Portland rookie shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe has exploded over the past few weeks as he’s gotten more playing time due to the bevy of Blazers’ veteran players shutting it down for the season. In his last 8 games, Shaedon Sharpe is averaging 24.1 points, 4.1 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.3 made three-pointers per game. Sharpe will have the freedom to shoot on Saturday and may put up a big day as a result.
Los Angeles Clippers DFS Spin
Clippers small forwards Marcus Morris Sr. and Paul George will both miss Los Angeles’ game against Portland on Saturday. Morris has a back ailment and George is recovering from a knee injury. The pair combine to average 35 points per game for the Clippers this season.
With George and Morris out, Clippers wing Norman Powell will likely be asked to pick up the scoring slack. Powell poured in 27 points on 8 of 15 shooting in the Clippers’ 125-118 win over the Lakers on Wednesday night, and he may have another big scoring day against a shorthanded and inexperienced Blazers squad on Saturday.

Trail Blazers vs. Clippers NBA Prediction
The Trail Blazers might be tanking, but their young players appear to still be playing hard. Shaedon Sharpe had 27 points in Portland’s 107-105 win over Minnesota on Sunday, third-year guard Skylar Mays had 24 points against Memphis on Tuesday, and former lottery pick Kevin Knox racked up 24 points in a narrow 129-127 loss to San Antonio on Thursday night. As a team, Portland has scored 114.3 points per game in their last three, while L.A. has only averaged 111 points per game as a team in their last three contests. Portland likely won’t get many stops, and probably won’t win the game, but I think they score enough to keep it somewhat competitive on Saturday evening. I’ll take the Trail Blazers and the points in L.A.
