Stephen Curry scored 33 points (12-of-25 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs) with five assists, four rebounds, two blocks and four triples in 34 minutes of a 119-101 win vs. the Cavaliers on Thursday. Curry was the No. 1 player in 9-category leagues in his previous six games, putting up 40.5 points, 4.7 dimes and 7.0 triples. “When we play small like we’re doing, it spreads the floor and [Curry] gets opportunities,” coach Steve Kerr said. “It’s really a comfortable game for Steph and Draymond when we play this way.” Curry got off to a slow start vs. the Cavs and was just 4-of-13 from beyond the arc, yet still managed to drop 33 points on an “off night.”
Boston Celtics DFS Spin
Jayson Tatum finally cooled off vs. the Lakers on Thursday with 14 points (6-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, five dimes and two triples in 28 minutes. The reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Tatum has helped the Celtics win their fifth straight and seven of their last eight games, putting home court advantage in reach. “We know it’s been an up-and-down season,” Tatum said. “We’ve had to battle a lot of things with Covid, and guys being injured. We’re just trying to build momentum. We’re trying to get where we want to be. Wherever we fall in the playoff seeding, we’ll be fine. We’ll be ready.” Tatum has been unfair in fantasy lately, coming into tonight averaging 34.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.0 dimes and 3.8 triples in his previous four games. He took a backseat to Jaylen Brown (40 points) in this one, but should feast against the Warriors on Saturday.
