Golden State Warriors DFS Spin
Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins has been out with a personal issue for multiple weeks, and he’ll remain out of the lineup for Thursday’s clash with the Grizzlies. Warriors guard Gary Payton II is dealing with a thigh injury and he likely won’t be back in the lineup until mid-March.
If you need scoring and assists from your point guard spot, Golden State’s Jordan Poole should be able to help. The former first-round pick out of Michigan is averaging 20.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.6 made three-pointers per game for Golden State this season. Poole isn’t super efficient, as he’s only shooting 42.7% from the floor and 32.5% from deep, but he’s third on the Warriors in shot attempts with an average of 16.1 per game. His volume scoring could prove valuable in DFS on Thursday.
Memphis Grizzlies DFS Spin
Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant is suspended indefinitely due to an off-court incident. He’ll miss Thursday’s game and a few more contests after that. Memphis power forward Brandon Clarke tore his left Achilles last week and he’ll miss the rest of the season. Morant and Clarke rank first and fifth on the team in scoring respectively.
Memphis power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. could see an increase in shot attempts with both Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke out of the lineup Thursday. For the season Jackson is posting 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals per game, and 1.5 made three-pointers per game. Jaren Jackson Jr. is also averaging 3.2 blocks per game which leads the NBA. Jackson’s ability to score and block shots makes him an attractive DFS option on Thursday.

Warriors vs. Grizzlies NBA Prediction
Golden State has been atrocious on the road this season. The Warriors are 7-25 straight up on the road this year and a league-worst 8-23 against the spread as a road team in 2022-2023. They are also 0-6 against the spread in their last 6 games against the Grizzlies in Memphis.
Memphis won’t have Ja Morant, but they’ve won without their franchise player before. Last season the Grizzlies went 20-5 without Ja Morant. On the whole, Memphis is a deep team. Shooting guard Desmond Bane can be a #1 scoring option as he’s pouring in 21.2 points per game this season. Furthermore, Memphis backup point guard Tyus Jones is averaging 20.5 points and 7.5 assists over his last two games. I think the Warriors continue to struggle on the road. I’ll take the Grizzlies and the points at home.
