According to Kerr, Poole would have played Thursday against the Nuggets had the game not been postponed. Donovan Mitchell scored 39 points on 12-of-21 shooting (6-of-11 3-pointers) and added six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and three turnovers as the Jazz beat the Timberwolves 120-108 on Friday night. Mitchell missed Utah’s last two games with a lower back strain, but he was back cooking on Friday night. Mitchell’s 54.5% mark from three on Friday was his highest mark of the season in what was one of his more efficient games. The Jazz have now quietly won six straight games and they will face Golden State on Saturday in a huge game on the second night of a back-to-back.
