Draymond Green missed his lone shot attempt in Tuesday’s loss to the Mavericks, going scoreless with 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in 29 minutes. Green isn’t much of a scorer, but he remains a valuable fantasy option due to his ability to impact the game in other areas. But Tuesday’s performance wasn’t a shining moment for him, as Green was also responsible for a team-worst six turnovers. Green has been a top-50 player over the last two weeks, despite averaging less than seven points per game.
Minnesota Timberwolves DFS Spin
D’Angelo Russell hit 5-of-17 shots, 1-of-8 3-pointers and 4-of-5 free throws for 15 points, three boards, seven assists and a steal in 29 minutes of Tuesday’s 114-107 win over the Rockets, the third straight W for the Wolves. Russell came into this one on a hot shooting streak but couldn’t find it tonight, although he did make a few big plays down the stretch as both teams went on fourth-quarter runs in a tight game in the end. Russell had scored at least 23 points in three of his previous four games and is currently running circles around Ricky Rubio, who has scored just two points in each of his last three games. Wolves fans have to be intrigued by what could be next season if Karl-Anthony Towns and Russell can stay healthy and Anthony Edwards can build on a great rookie season. But how much longer the Wolves keep rolling their future out there in meaningless games remains to be seen. Russell will look to bounce back against the Warriors on Thursday.
