76ers vs. Magic Prediction
Following their loss to the Spurs last night, will the 76ers cover the spread tonight against the Magic playing on no rest?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Magic are 4.5-point home favorites versus the 76ers after opening as a 5-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, hasn’t moved after hitting the board at 211.5 points.
Philadelphia enters play tonight having dropped seven of 10 overall but is 6-4 against the spread over that same span. The Sixers lost for the fifth consecutive time on Wednesday when they fell 111-103 to the Spurs as 12-point home underdogs. Jahlil Okafor finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots in the loss.
Orlando is also just 3-7 over its last 10 games and is also just 4-6 at the betting window over that stretch. The Magic lost for the fourth time in their last five games on Tuesday in a 128-104 blowout loss at Houston. Aaron Gordon is questionable to play tonight due to a sprained right foot. He’s listed as day-to-day but his return to the court is dependent on how he responds to treatment.

OUR PREDICTION: The Magic have been a poor team to back at home, as they’ve covered the spread in just two of their last eight games in Orlando. They’re also just 4-10 against the number in their last 14 games playing on one day of rest and are 2-8-1 against the spread in their last 11 home games when taking on an opponent with a losing road record. The Sixers, meanwhile, have covered in six of their last eight games playing on no rest and are 12-3 against the spread in their last 15 games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
THURSDAY NBA PREDICTION: PHILADELPHIA 76ERS +4.5
