Who will lead the NBA in points per game?
Oddsmakers favor the Thunder’s Kevin Durant to be the NBA’s points per game leader this upcoming season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Durant has odds of 3/2, which make him the favorite to lead the NBA in points per game this season. James Harden of the Rockets has the next best odds at 9/4 while Anthony Davis of New Orleans is 5/1 to lead the league in points per contest.
Russell Westbrook led the league in points per game last season at 28.1 PP contest, but he’s down a ways on the odds list. Westbrook is a 16/1 long shot to pull off the feat for the second straight year, which put him in the same company as Carmelo Anthony and Damian Lillard, who are both 15/1, respectively.
Harden was second to Westbrook last year with 27.4 points per game while LeBron was third at 25.3 PPG. Davis, meanwhile, was fourth in the league at 24.4 PPG and DeMarcus Cousins rounded out the top five at 24.1 PPG. A complete list of odds for this year’s PPG prop is below.
