Hornets vs. Warriors Prediction
Will the Warriors cover as a double-digit favorite tonight when they host the Hornets at 10:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Warriors are 14-point home favorites versus the Hornets while the over/under currently sits at 223 points. As for this writing, neither the point spread nor the total has moved off the original numbers.
The Hornets have dropped seven of their last 10 on the hardwood and eight of their last 10 at the betting window. They’ve also lost five consecutive games, including a 115-98 decision at Portland on Tuesday night as a 4-point underdog. Nicolas Batum finsihed with 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the loss while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was in foul trouble from the start, finishing with just five points and five boards.
The Warriors are heading in the opposite way of tonight’s opponent winning nine of 10 overall and going 7-3 against the spread over that same stretch. In their 113-111 win at Portland on Sunday, Kevin Durant carried the team with a game-high 33 points on 13-of-26 shooting. Durant also added 10 boards, six assists and one blocked shot in 36 minutes while Steph Curry missed the game due to a case of the stomach flu. As of this writing, Curry is questionable for tonight’s game.
