Washington has won six of its last 10 games but has struggled at the betting window, going 3-6-1 against the number over that same 10-game stretch. The Wizards still own a winning ATS record on the season at 37-34, but are just 15-17 against the number on the road this season.
Cleveland has split over its last 10 games, although the Cavs picked up a much-needed win over the Hornets on Friday night in Charlotte. The Cavs are now 4-5-1 against the spread over their last 10 games after opening as 3-point favorites, and are 32-36 ATS on the year. They’re also 17-15 ATS at home this season.
OUR PREDICTION: LeBron suffered a scratched cornea in his right eye in Friday night’s win over the Hornets and seeing as how oddsmakers opened with Washington as a favorite, it’s unlikely James will play for Cleveland. The Cavs have not been a great bet without LeBron this year and even if Kyrie Irving plays, it’ll be on back-to-back nights so fatigue could be an issue. The Wizards are also playing on no rest, but they’re 5-1 against the spread in their last six games in those situations. The Cavs, with LeBron or not, are just 2-6 against the number in their last eight games playing on no rest.
