Washington Wizards DFS Notes
Bradley Beal (right hip bruise) is listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Nets. Beal was held out of Friday’s overtime win over the Pacers, and it was reported earlier Sunday that he is on track to return Monday night. The All-Star guard is officially listed as questionable, so fantasy managers who have Beal rostered will want to stay ready to shift him into their active lineups. Spencer Dinwiddie was outstanding Friday night, but his fantasy value should not be impacted much by Beal’s return.
Brooklyn Nets DFS Notes
James Harden played 33 minutes in Sunday’s 111-95 loss to the Nets, tallying 15 points (6-of-16 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers. Fantasy managers who have Harden rostered in 9-cat leagues could not have liked what they saw, as he was also responsible for a game-high eight turnovers. Following the game, Nets coach Steve Nash was more concerned about the frequency of Harden’s trips to the foul line. The Beard is now 8-of-9 from the charity stripe this season, with his per game average being a far cry form his career number (8.7 free throw attempts per game). Nash opined Harden has “unfairly become the poster child of some of these rule changes with non-basketball moves.” That, in Nash’s opinion, is the reason why the All-Star has not gone to the line as frequently as he has for much of his career. That’s something to watch as the Nets host the Wizards in the second game of this back-to-back Monday night. Maybe Nash was looking to plant a seed in the minds of the officials, similar to what Phil Jackson used to do when he was an active coach.
