Washington Wizards DFS Spin
Washington small forward Kyle Kuzma is having a breakout season. The former Los Angeles Laker is posting a career-high 21.5 points per game and is sinking a career-best 2.5 three-pointers per game. Kuzma is more than just a shooter though as he’s also grabbing 7.6 boards per game and dishing out 4 dimes per game. He’s a solid DFS option at small forward Thursday.
If you’re looking for a sleeper at small forward, consider the Wizards’ Corey Kispert. The Gonzaga alum is averaging 9.8 points per game, but he’s shooting a blistering 40.8% from deep this season. There’s some risk there as Kispert has failed to score in double figures in 5 of his last 11 games, but he might be worth a flier on Thursday.
Minnesota Timberwolves DFS Spin
Minnesota center Karl-Anthony Towns will likely be out for a few more weeks with a calf ailment. Both Kyle Anderson and Rudy Gobert are questionable for Thursday’s tilt with Washington. Gobert has a groin injury and Anderson is hampered by a back injury. Gobert is averaging a double-double (13.2 points, 11.4 rebounds) this season and Anderson is posting 8.4 points per game in 26 minutes per contest on the campaign.
Minnesota shooting guard Anthony Edwards is having a monster year. The former #1 overall pick out of Georgia is putting up 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.7 made three-pointers per game for the T’Wolves this season. The price might be steep but Edwards could have a big day against a Washington team that ranks 18th in the league in defensive efficiency.
Wizards vs. Timberwolves NBA Betting Trends
Washington is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games against Minnesota.
Washington is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
Minnesota is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days’ rest.
Minnesota is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following an outright win.
Wizards vs. Timberwolves NBA Prediction
The Washington Wizards are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games and they’re 23-10-1 in their last 34 games following an outright win of more than 10 points. What’s more, Washington is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Oddly, Minnesota has alternated wins and losses over their last nine games. If the pattern holds, they will lose outright to Washington on Thursday. I think that Minnesota will have trouble slowing down Washington’s scorers and won’t be able to keep pace on offense. I’ll take the Wizards and the points on the road.
