MIAMI (AP) – LeBron James received a loud, mixed reaction when he was introduced at AmericanAirlines Arena for the first time since leaving the Miami Heat.
James got some cheers and boos from the fans when he was the first of the five Cleveland starters to be announced Thursday before the Cavaliers met the Heat in a Christmas showdown.
Many around him took pictures when he tossed powder into the air before taking the court, and he exchanged huge hugs with several Heat players. He also pointed to the Heat bench and tapped his heart.
Before taking the floor, James said, ”I gave everything and more to this city when I was here.”
